How does a courier deliver to SafeShip? While we are in the process of partnering with courier services, homeowners are able to write a delivery note. A homeowner would order an item with a package tracking number being delivered to their email. Upon delivery, a courier approaches the doormat, scanning the tracking number and verifying whether to accept the package. If the delivery is accepted, the lid of the doormat will lift allowing for the courier to open and place on the designated area. The courier brings down the net and locks it into the base.

How does SafeShip deter package theft?Package theft will always remain, but if we are able to deter even a small portion of the growing crimes we have succeeded. SafeShip tries to deter package theft in a number of ways: • Netting is locked into doormat • Weighted base with an option to be mounted • Reinforced nylon net with steel built in • Beveled edges • Alarm Together with a doorbell or smart system, thieves cannot get past SafeShip.

How does a homeowner access their delivery? If a package is delivered or an attempt of theft is made, a homeowner receives a notification via a text message or mobile application. When a homeowner arrives home, they are able to use a fob or mobile application to scan the tracking scanner on SafeShip. It will verify the homeowner's access and unlock for acceptance. The homeowner is able to take out their package and close SafeShip so it is ready for the next time.
